In the international competition The Tonic & Mixer Masters, Swedish tonic wins 5 medals out of 5 entries, which is an incredible achievement and shows how strong our products are on the international stage. The Tonic & Mixer Masters by The Spirit Masters is one of the most prestigious beverage competitions in the world. A carefully selected jury of pros taste blindfolded and then set a score. Swedish Tonic Raspberry won a Master (highest rating), Swedish Tonic Original & Swedish Tonic Lemonade won Gold while Swedish Tonic Grapefruit & Swedish Tonic Ginger Beer won Silver. Swedish Tonic's latest launch of snaps is a modern combo of two traditional drinks with a rich history; Gin & Tonic and Snaps. There has long been a hysteria around Fatty's Day, with semolina in all its forms. Nacho semlor, wrap semlor & pizza semlor. Yes, the fantastin has no limits. In parallel, gin & tonic has become one of the most popular drinks. So why not take and combine these two? Mix 2cl of gin into 200 grams of almond paste Step 2. Pour 2.5 dl whipped cream into a bowl. Add 3 cl Swedish Tonic and 2 cl agave syrup. Whisk! Step 3. Cut the wheat balls and spread on the almond paste. Step 4. Drizzle on the whipped cream. Step 5. Put the semolina on top and garnish with icing sugar. For an extra touch, add a dried lime slice. The leaves have begun to leave the trees, the darkness and cold are making themselves more and more felt & Christmas is almost here. Finally it's time for Christmas music, prune buns and mulled wine. And this year you don't have to drink the same old boring mulled wine from company B! Together with our friends at Stockholms Bränneri, we have developed a Gin & Tonic mulled wine (yes, it's as amazing as it sounds!). It all started with an idea from Calle & Anna at Stockholms Bränneri. Why does a Gin & Tonic have to be drunk cold with a lot of ice? So they tried warming up their Dry Gin with Swedish Tonic. And the result was great! So good, in fact, that they invited loved ones to enjoy it last Christmas. This Christmas, they thought that more people should get a taste of their creation, and said and done, they got in touch with us at Swedish Tonic. We thought it sounded like a really exciting idea so it didn't take much persuading. The Gin & Tonic mulled wine is based on Swedish Tonic Christmas Spices and Stockholm Bränneris Dry Gin. The mulled wine is at 12% and ready to be warmed up and enjoyed with a sprig of rosemary and some cranberries in your favourite cup. In 2017, the reception of the Gin & Tonic mulled wine was absolutely fantastic and the interest massive. The first batch of 800 bottles sold out in just three minutes, and after 30 minutes 3,800 had been ordered. Unfortunately, this meant that many people were left without a GT mulled wine for Christmas 2017. For Christmas 2018, we went all out and made 6,500 bottles. All these bottles sold out in record time and outside the Systembolaget stores the queues were up to 100 metres long. The pressure was so high that Systembolaget had to call an emergency meeting; never before have they experienced such demand for a product release. So we released another 2700 bottles in a second release. Again, all bottles sold out extremely quickly. Unfortunately, many people went without a bottle this year. But don't despair! The next step for Swedish tonic In the quest for the perfect tonic, Swedish Tonic is now taking the next step, and the fight against transparent tonic water continues. No transparent trees have yet been found and Swedish Tonic's thesis still stands; Real Tonic Can't Be Transparent! Swedish Tonic now wants to challenge an industry dominated by flavourings and sugar, and is launching a handmade tonic water with only natural ingredients where agave syrup has replaced the sugar. The same great tonic as before, but you no longer have to mix it yourself (unless you want to, of course!). And just like the trees whose bark is used to make the tonic, Swedish Tonic's tonic water is not transparent either, but amber in colour - just as it should be. Swedish tonic was founded just over two years ago with a vision to change an entire industry, one characterised by giants focused on mass production and artificial ingredients. It all started in a student kitchen in Uppsala and today Swedish Tonic sells its products all over Europe, but with a focus on the home market in Sweden. Swedish Tonic has done it again. This time in much cooler temperatures (although of course it was going to rain on New Year's Eve). After a very successful crayfish show, we felt we were simply topping it. We wanted a bigger challenge. And how would we do that if not on the biggest party occasion of the year. New Year. Oysters, Russian caviar, paella, Swedish Tonic drinks (of course) & entertainment like no other, yes this was the perfect end to 2017! The evening started with mingling and snacks consisting of Russian caviar, oysters, champagne, pinchos and of course our amazing drinks. This time, however, we did it a little differently. Instead of us taking a seat behind the bar as usual, each guest got to make their own drink and thus put their own stamp on it. The bar was set up with many exciting accessories and only the imagination set the limits. After a bit of introductions, it was time for some more food (important considering how long a New Year's night usually lasts). After some Paella and a few more drinks, there was entertainment. An awesome DJ, dancers & carbonic acid cannons were just some of the features throughout the evening. The clock was ticking fast towards midnight and everyone was offered to advance down to the new bridge quay to celebrate the new year together. Before the communal march got underway, speakers from Ultimate Ears were handed out, which were paired and offered a fantastic sound The party continued at Boqueria for a while longer and later continued at our office!
