The success is back, Swedish Tonic is relaunching its immensely popular Gin and Tonic mulled wine with refined Christmas flavours. Last year, 10,000 bottles were sold in one day and the surging demand is set to be at least as high when it is released on 1 November 2020.
- We have given Christmas a new and natural flavour, where two genuine traditions meet in a bottle with the best of both worlds. A bitter taste from the gin and tonic meeting the warm but not too sweet Christmas, says Anton Askenström, Co-founder, Swedish Tonic.
Last year, Swedish Tonic's GT mulled wine sold out in 24 hours, with over 10,000 bottles sold.
- The popularity of mulled wine pleases us and shows people's love for our most beloved holiday and the unsaturated hype of gin and tonic," Anton continues.
This year the mulled wine is back with a refined recipe and content.
- We have spent a lot of time on improvement and created a cooler taste with great ingredients, far beyond the classic mulled wine, says Anton Askenström.
The base of the GT mulled wine consists of Swedish Tonic's award-winning tonic syrup, gin, and classic Christmas spices such as cinnamon, cloves, allspice & star anise. A warming and spicy mulled wine where the bitterness of the tonic's cinchona bark is prominent and meets the sweetness balanced by the meeting of the agave syrup and cane sugar.
Glöggen is made from natural ingredients in Sweden.
This year's mulled wine launches both with and without alcohol to appeal to all glasses.
Gin & Tonic is released on 2 November in selected Systembolaget stores and for ordering at Systembolaget.se. The number of bottles is limited so be sure to hang on the lock!
