The next step for Swedish tonic
In the quest for the perfect tonic, Swedish Tonic is now taking the next step, and the battle for transparent tonic water continues. No transparent trees have yet been found and Swedish Tonic's thesis still stands; Real Tonic Can't Be Transparent!
Swedish Tonic now wants to challenge an industry dominated by flavourings and sugar, and is launching a handmade tonic water with only natural ingredients where agave syrup has replaced the sugar. The same great tonic as before, but you no longer have to mix it yourself (unless you want to, of course!). And just like the trees whose bark is used to make the tonic, Swedish Tonic's tonic water is not transparent either, but amber in colour - just as it should be.
Swedish tonic was founded just over two years ago with a vision to change an entire industry, one characterised by giants focused on mass production and artificial ingredients. It all started in a student kitchen in Uppsala and today Swedish Tonic sells its products all over Europe, but with a focus on the home market in Sweden. Today the company is run operationally by four hungry entrepreneurs - Anton Askenström, Viktor Eriksson, Benjamin Mangell and Gustaf Ytander. Early on, the company brought in top expertise in food, brand strategy and entrepreneurship. The company's chairman is Thomas Sonesson, who, among other things, helped build the Gallerix retail chain during its heyday. Together, the company has the expertise they believe is needed to compete with the big giants!

Partnerships with strong brands have helped the company along the way. For example, the company developed a gin & tonic mulled wine together with Stockholms Bränneri for Christmas 2017. In 3 minutes, all bottles were sold out and the waiting list was long. Another example is the gin & tonic brandy created with Gateau, which reached over 2 million people on social media. The company also works extensively with events and together with the successful event agency Hoss STHLM, they have done events for Kenza, Molly Sandén & Fanny Lyckman, among others.
The new tonic water will initially be sold exclusively in selected restaurants and shops. If you want to be one of the first to try the product, it will be served at Vassa Eggen, Tako, and all PDF Group restaurants (e.g. East, Prinsen, Trattorian, Villa Godthem) in Stockholm, among others. The product is also available for purchase on the Swedish Tonic website. The product will soon be available throughout Sweden.
